Blue Bird Box
We chose the wood carefully
And did a lot of measuring
Careful to get the entrance right
And the box at the perfect height
It was painted yellow and blue
With a little green there too
And positioned it at the perfect place
Where their eggs would be safe
Soon the babies would peep and chirp
And demand their parents' constant work
Until the young could fly away
On a very special day
Each season they come back around
To the house they have found
And celebrate the perfect spot
In the sun but not too hot
