Oh life, let me live it as it dreams
For what it does and what it means
I lived life hard but loved it right
It shed good tears and did alright
Oh Lord, how many times must I ask
Why your forgiveness is such a task
For you in my heart, there is a flame
There's no-one else but me to blame.
You've heard the tune 'I did it my way'
I've lost the lot but I'm here to stay
For the road is long, the road is tough
Lonesome highways are the ones I love.
I hear the stories, I hear the blues
I watch TV and I'm on the news
A pattern of chaos, a pattern of life
The loss of everything, even my wife.
The beggars above me took me in
To lock my heart in an old empty bin
It was in there we found out together
Love was the key under our weather.
To shall or to shall not attempt to live to
Hand over my sentiments towards you
My persistence is seemingly apparent
For the cause of other peoples torment.
I'm a professor of poetic madness
I write about love and its sadness
And with the mention of lords hope
I'm forced into another day of cope.
When David sang his hallelujah song
I sang it too but sang it wrong
It went like this the six or seven
I wished away the thought of Heaven.
Here I lay in this very dark place
When I was taken by Gods grace
I'll enjoy the pleasure of being alone
Now I'm in hell I'm all on my own.
The escape was easy but also hot
When I got home I had lost the plot
But I've left behind, I'm sure you'll see
I'm just a poet, just me.

Have a look on the allotment for that plot! (I wish I would shut up. lol).
do what I do, take a Valium. help wind things down a little, even if it's down the allotment and even though I don't have one it's good shout though!!
