I depend on the formations of air, and the light of shadows
Glorifying your grey areas
Justifying the depending
The need and the comfort of your presence
I need you to be what I see
But you never are
Let me depend on the light like stars
Give me room to pretend you're here
When you're gone
And let me depend on those formations of air that move,
And ripples that fade
So that I can hold the possibility of love like concrete in my arms and in my heart,
Pretending I'm holding you
