Changing Tides

Cranial Tapestry

Sometimes thinking of you comes in waves.

Fleeting.

Much like the oceans tides.

Without invitation they break the sand barriers and cover the shore and just as easily they retract and fade away again.

Most times they bring me a smile.

An endless hollow ache.

Today…

I miss you.

No longer an innocent wave

The tide has pulled me out to sea.

I’m drowning.
