Only happiness

Haylee Owen

I’m a star

i shine,glisten, and stand out

everyone in the world looks at me

the sky is my home

and when it turns dark I blend in

my only friend is the meteor that hits me

it turns me into a shooting star and I’m slowly

turning into the light for someone

i crash and burn

I can’t feel any pain I only feel happiness

everything is in the past and there is no future

I’m leaving everything behind but looking ahead

there is not pain for me only happiness

all the suffering and loneliness is gone

but what I don’t realize is that I’m handing the pain

to someone else

and once I’m gone that suffering and loneliness is

passed onto them.

Nice imagery and you get quite close, perhaps without intending it, to the never ending Bliss, the genuine Happiness, which is God.
