Remember back to more happier days

JDswinnerton

Remember back to more happier days
in the fields, on them summer nights drunk.
We sang and danced till the mornin dew stunk.
Remember back to more happier days
When the fire would rave and rage under them stary skies.
We vow to sing youthly Untill the final ember dies.
Remember back to more happier days
We lay on the grass chanting at the sky.
We'd sit untill the whisky and wine ran dry.
Remember back to more happier days.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Being only 19 i usually get people who are older telling me of their youths and how great it was "those were the days". This poem is me trying to get atleast some little grasp on that feeling. Its also supposed to give a feeling of remembering back to maybe a relationship you were in or a group of friends you really dont talk to anymore. Hope its ok :)
