Last Night

lanaevans

You stood me up last night.

I arrived at the bar at 8:24.

I fixed my hair in the bathroom mirror

While the other girls looked at me with laughter.

After hours, I realized that you weren't coming.

That I was here for nothing.

I needed a drink.

So I bought a drink.

And I went home alone that night.

Maybe something happened to you.

Maybe you had gotten into a car accident.

I don't know.

But I would see you at work the next day anyway.

So I went to work the next day.

And I saw you talking to your boys.

And I approached and asked you what happened last night.

And you asked me what I was talking about.

And I told you that I didn't see you at the bar.

And you and your friends laughed.

And you asked me if I really thought you were serious.

And you told me you would never go out with a girl like me.

So I left early.

Sick to my stomach.

And I went home.

And I hung out.
