He Knows My Struggles

 

I struggled with life each day

And could not find the words to say

To anyone that really cared

That I was lost and lonesome there

 

No one could understand

How much I was a troubled man

And my reluctance to share slowly grew

With many things they never knew

 

Then my pain was gone

When my Friend came along

Slowly building me up to be

A man grown strong spiritually

 

And since then I have had

Many days where I am glad

Thankful for the rainbow high

Comforting me with His sky

 

Today I have a Friend

Who accompanies me deep within

Patiently there at my side

And hearing me when I confide
