Strength

redneckwriter

As the man of the house, you have certain rolls. Like busting you butt, pursuing your goals. But most of my time, is not spent on me. It’s putting on a smile, so they don’t have to see. Stress is ungodly, it can drag you down low. But that’s one thing, my family shouldn’t know. I laugh and I play, I tease and I chase. They only need to see, the smile on dads face. The struggle is rough, it weighs a man down. But never enough, to make this man frown. I’m never unhappy, never truly sad. Because three little people, are calling me Dad.

Meaning and responsibility can offset the heaviest burdens... thought provoking poem and I am sure one many can relate to.
