Hoot Owl

w c

Hoot Owl

Her wings gave her flight

Silent in the night

There just out of sight

Her hunt went very well

As a mouse she impaled

In the farmer’s dell

With her talons sharp

She sat there in the dark

As the mouse lost its spark

Her catch was no surprise

In the others' eyes

With rodents far and wide

In the barn she would rest

as its special guest

In peace and happiness

Love your owl! I heard one once at my house but she/he never came back!

A fine write wc. But a relative never hears a too-whit or too-whoo from us, as he feels spooked by owls!

Thanks, orchidee. Owls can be rather spooky.
