Unhappy Holidays

Spottypoet

no matter how many Christmas songs or adverts the tv plays or your family blasts
some of us just don't want that type of Christmas
some of us fight the void and no amount of Mariah Carey repeating herself is going to change that
they say Christmas is about family
what about those feeling grief or those of us who while we have families we feel left out and different in our family
Santa is a Celtic myth
gifts may be nice but black Friday isn't
crowds are uncomfortable
food is hard to digest sometimes while also trying to socialize badly
the illusion is a fantasy and cold snow is the reality
stomach infections and flu's spreading like the plague
and for some exams to damage their brain
