The promise

Jo Middleton

Never again will i call
Or make you uncomfortable
I will start to block those thoughts
With paper cuts hidden in folds
Promise to atleast try and leave
Rest in peace charcoal heart
To never warm up in a fire
Forever swear I won't do it again
Again I swear I didn't mean it
But this time I truly do
I promise to leave you this time
Until the day I hope to die
