Runaway

skyebellasario

One look to the endless sky

My effervescent spirit

Is ignited and I want to run.

As a gaze through the glass,

A lonely cloud, adrift

Floats miles above me.

At times, I sit and watch

As the rivers flow past me.

I fight the temptation

To jump in

And see where the water takes me.

Walls close in,

Suffocating me.

I can't express this lingering feeling

Within me.

A need to leave.

I want to run away

And never return.

The best part about running away is deciding where you want to go.
