Death by Living

OctoArcher

I lie in the

dark

letting the universe absorb my

energy and being,

allowing my pain

to escape into the sheets.

I rest only when

my body collapes,

yet I don’t seem to be doing much

when I’m awake.

Something distasteful will not get done

even if it’s a priority.

Everything is crumbling

but I’m just

lying in the center of it all.
