Never

Baylee

Crystal-clear,

Nighttime sky

Unlike a lover in the darkness

who is vague, ambiguous

As my eyes take in

the wonders of the milky way

it seems as though

the entirety of the universe

is slowly sinking,

Falling towards me,

towards my gleaming eyes,

full of wonder, full of hope,

Until the hours pass

and the dark azure

consumes my being

and I fly into its abyss

never to return.
