I Spy

poetsinspire

I spy

With my little eye

Things that shine bright

In the night sky

Even though

They're far away

I spy

With my little eye

A flaming sphere

Circled with gold

That makes the world

Less brittle and cold.

I spy

With my little eye

A group willing to accept.

A group whose full intent

Is to help many feel wanted.

I spy

With my little eye

A road leading nowhere.

A road to far to see.

I spy

With my little eye

The eyes of someone much greater.

The eyes of someone

Who cares too much

to leave us in the dark.
