What is Life?

chrisbamb

What is Life?

What is Life?

Maybe you’re expecting Children, a job, a good wife?

A string of endless days, doing the same thing.

Head bowed, waiting for the phone to ring.

You get a text, a message from a good mate.

You’ll meet them, have a good time, it’s not a date.

You’re bored, you’re married, there is nothing left to do.

But day after day, you are left in the same old stew.

You look back at the things you could have completed.

But when the tally is done, you feel depleted.

Visit here, visit there.

When you look in the mirror, you have no hair.

Where did your dreams and aspirations go?

You got married and they went out of the door.

So, what is left for you to complete?

Nothing, but stand on your own two feet.

Looking back on your life, what would you say?

I’ve had a good life right up until this day.

So, what does the future hold?

Not too much, I’m already bald.

Have you enjoyed the life you have spent?

Yes, I think so, but I’m still paying rent.
