Along The Road.

kevin browne

Along the road of many pure gentle whispers
I'll love you there where we can meet the invisible
Imaginations running through to the wilderness
Rivers run with colour on a cold flattened seabed
Where the trees form a bushfire full of beauty
Whilst bumblebees bumble with such delight
Flapping butterflies define true wonderfulness
The eagerly keen Buzzards preying on sheep
Sad clouds floating by carrying the winds of a storm.

Along the ruins of many pure gentle whispers
I'll love you there where we can beat the insane
The horrible demise of any thought catching up
Inside the walls of ever increasing inward motion
Scratch marks on your life are failing to notice
Gone are the happiest days of unforgiving silence
Souls depleted into disarray surviving on nothing at all
Our hands are held but our wrists stream with blood
Hell is imminent for those who do not wish to seek

Along the beautiful road of many pure gentle whispers
I'll love you there where we can paint all the colours
Inside some music, we'll dance till our heart's drop
And if you wish to build another Egyptian pyramid
Then build with your dreams which rewrites the book
For you and your children deservedly need to love
Life isn't the deluded vision we all make it out to be
Just look up at night to watch your dreams come alive
Because you are those stars so go show off your glare

Along the painful road of many pure gentle whispers
I'll love you there so I can catch all your tears
There'll be sadness and sorrow for all the yesterdays
Your skin has been cut deeply into your soul within
And those everlasting smiles appear to rot away
Upon the shadow of your own cursed, useless life
And the crucifixion of ideas to brighten things up
Only darken even deeper than they ever did before
That deadly path we used heading towards our death.

Along the forever road which leads us all the way
I'll love you there so we can love for the rest of time
We'll dream about dreaming because dreaming is ok
With flowers, we'll wrap around the world in harmony
And if there's a God up in the skies waiting for us
Then paradise awaits such beauty as a living soul
Immortalised and then drenched in Heavens bliss
And together we'll rejoice in of the loving memories
Unlocking eternity which left life the golden key.

  • Fay Slimm.

This write is so moving Kevin - - it touches a depth of love which often we overlook and the final stanza is full of positive assurance that at last loving memories unlock eternity. A wonderful read and must have this among my favs.

positive endings are always welcome. thanks for your insight and yes, it's such a shame the flames of love don't shine brighter sometimes.
