Substitution

danasaur

I like to substitute pain

In the way the sun

substitutes the rain

And I can't even fucking explain

How much I learned

To love

The pain

I’ve watched the people around me

Die slowly

At least internally

And I've seen the damage done

By too much sun

So much damage,

Its burned me

I learned to substitute pain

In the way the sun takes the place of rain

And I can’t begin to explain

How much I like

To love

The pain
