Softly Gone Mad

Syd

Good looks

Charm

Playing dominoes

On days

So hot

So warm

Nights of indulgence

Whole days in bed

Endless possibilities

Locked inside

Your head

Dreams

Turned to screams

Love to hatred

A prisoner

Of your fame

Into the mirror you stared

Shaved your eyebrows

And hair

You couldn't have cared

Isolated

Alienated

On stage you calmly

Put down your guitar

Then painted yourself

Into a corner

On your

Striped

Rough floor

Fame

Acid reign

Slowly driven insane

A nice dream

Turned bad

Eloquently

Delicately

Softly

Gone mad
