Up in Flames

Edthepoet

A photo on the fireplace
Inbetween her and the flame
A print on the window pane
Inbetween her and the rain
A reminder that he walked away Reminds her that she's not to blame
In her mind the voices say
In her mind the noises sway

They make it sound so easy
They make it seem like fate
They're not the ones who remember
They're not the ones who break
Every drunken promise
To make tomorrows pain
Die in the fire
Goes up in flames

A tattoo of a memory
Shared between sweet enemies
A secret written In blood ink
Shared between them in silk sheets
A reminder that he came in peace
Reminds her that he's not the beast
In her mind the voices scream
In her mind the noises speak

They make it sound so easy
They make it seem like fate
They're not the ones who remember
They're not the ones who break
Every drunken promise
To make tomorrows pain
Die in the fire
Goes up in flames

    drunken words don't mean much.
very good way to describe it.
