It's a negative world
But you gotta stay positive.
After all, you know what they say about opposites.
This life is magnetic.
But it's one of which I am not attracted to.
Beaten down, like nothing.
Cuz they want to feel above you
Got sick of the day,
Tears raining down like meteor showers
Trying to bestow your words and show your power
You see, us people always talk about
Lighting up the sky like the comets did.
We make all these commitments,
And yet, break all our promises.
Instead of draining the fuel from the people in this world
We gotta try and add to their fire.
Because blowing out someone else’s candle
Won’t make yours shine brighter
