The Dull Days

demonshadow14

On the days when it's dull and cold, you don't want to go outside.

You stay in. Make reasons up to stay in.

Wrap up in the comfort of blankets, warmth emerges.

You want it to last.

Seeing the rain trickling down your window, a pattern in a way.

You watch its movements.

Slowly but surely each one has a little race.

You stare in amazement.

Then through the clouds, you get a peek at some rays.

The golden rays that bring such joy.

You smile.

You laugh.

And then you sink back into the warmth of the blankets and everything feels okay.
