This might not be mine

• She caught my eye from the very beginning

I ran out of words my heart she was winning

• But I set my expectations low I had other things on my mind

School and family and friends who had the time

• I soon let go of the feelings I had but she reeled me back in

She began talking to me more ignoring her felt like a sin

• Does she want a friend or maybe more

All my feelings and thoughts are making my mind sore

• For I don’t pursue for she talks to others

Maybe she is just looking for a big brother

• If this is true I’m fine with that

For as long as she is happy who could be mad

• If she loves another I shall be fine

All she needs to do is show me a sign

• These feelings will fade and I’ll get over it with time
