dreams

Turtle

In dreams we lust for a lingering love,

a love as free as dust.

We live off the ash of another day,

as our hearts begin to rust.

Be troubled not the light is bright

the shadow of death be gone.

I'll open my eyes and to my surprise

it's here we await the dawn.

  • Comment from author about the poem: we all dream of a fairy tail relationship when often times we are living in days that have ticked away allready and blind to the life that is unfolding around them.Live for now and you will find true freedom upon the dawn.

It's so sad to me that many people are so busy planning for the future that they forget to enjoy the blessings they have while they have them. Love finds you when you're not looking.
