Darkest Is The Night

Darkest Is The Night

Darkest is the night

Until hope appears

With a wonderful light

Comforting our fears

The light illuminates

And shines on despair

With some tranquility

And comfort for our cares

The stars also twinkle

And hear our every wish

There for our concerns

When our lives go amiss

Hope gives us reason

To arise every day

And there we believe

Things will go our way

Hope always gives

A light for our steps

And the pathway there

Is our happiness

This was a lovely poem with a wonderful rhyming scheme! You turned an element of nature into a message applicable to life. I loved that transition. Please do keep writing!
