Fine doesn’t mean fine
And some find it hard to see
The truth behind that four-lettered word
And what it really means
F stands for falling apart at the seams
I stands for insecure and inside screams
N stands for nervous breakdowns that no one can see
E stands for emotionally drained but still trying to be me
Tired doesn’t mean tired
Have you heard that excuse?
People underestimate
The truth behind its use
T is for torn, I is for irritated
R is for ready to cry
E is for extremely upset
D is for done with life
The next time someone uses these words
Ask them if they’re really okay
Because you might just save someone’s life
Or even just make their day
