Black Train

KyeBri

I sit and I watch

the black train slowly

Accelerating as my hair dances

As I look, I see

people without their lemons

A song on repeat

The darkest shadows

under the brightest skies

Many chances given

to be taken away

Theres more lemons

hidden under the shadows.

Waiting to be snatched.

Yet, they sit still

lonely and gray.

Life passing by.

The shadows increasing in size.

The darkness overtaking.

The common misconception

money is all that's needed.

Lemons become useless.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The story of my Poem is that of a reflection. It's to see the world and see yourself. When life gives you lemons, you get chances. Chances some dont take. Without any lemons, what do you have? Look around yourself and you'll see the people who didnt take their lemons. The people who chose paper of lemons. There is a lot of hidden meaning in my poem. I just hope people get the meanings.
