My life has been folded over
at least a hundred times
With twilight comes exposure
and a reckoning sublime
Each crease a thing I’d never done
each fold a place I’d hide
Now one by one the truth unwraps
—my secrets open wide

On Bended Knee
Liking what things are supposed to be
instead of what they are
I spend my life in wondered lust
not near, yet so afar
Wishing the truth not what it was
but what it was meant to be
I spend my nights in wish filled dreams
—my faith on bended knee

Kurt,
There’s so much I can say about your two poems, but I’ll refrain! I’ll refrain because they’re very relatable!
I’ll simply state that I enjoyed reading them very much!
