Have You

ForeverJesus7

Have you ever written poetry before?

After a while it starts to sting,

but it's all your ever good at.

Give me a pen and pad,

and I can write just about anything.

With just a few sentences,

to pass the bad time with good,

give me a few lines about Jesus,

to write what I know I should.

So why do I do it?

Why do I waste my time and energy,

to take out everything,

and empty out my memory?

Well to be quite frankly,

that is for you to decide.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I do not really feel as though I am wasting my time, but sometimes it is hard to keep writing, and I do wonder sometimes if there is a point to my writing. Still... Persistence is key

I suppose we could say - Why bother - about anything? But then we would do nothing at all!
