The Voice That Stole My Heart

cutelilcardinal

A hush falls over the crowd

As you step up to the stand

Director hands you the microphone

You grip it tight in your hand

You secure it in its place

Step back, and prepare to start

And with the first beautifully sung note

You have stolen my heart

You are so very well-known

I swear everyone in that room

Only goes to concerts for one person alone

And that one person is you

Every time we’re just in class

And you’re simply talking to a friend

I am so in love with your voice

That I wish class would never end

So if I ever fall silent

While you sing as we walk down the hall

Just know I’m lost in the music

Of the most gorgeous voice of all

So pretty. It makes me want to hear them sing too.
