Stand Outside

ForeverJesus7

In the name of Jesus,

and ONLY in the name of Jesus,

we must boldly step out of our comfort zone.

We must be more than willing.

To be willing,

is only to want.

We as true believers -

as true ambassadors for Christ,

must fight the good fight of faith,

until we cannot fight no more.

We must fight until,

we no longer have the strength,

to ask God for more strength.

That is when the Lord,

will carry us.

We must step out,

in the name of the Lord.

We must stand out,

in the name of the Lord.

Make the atheist,

want to say,

"I don't know what it is,

but I want to be like that guy".

Rather than never being afraid,

we as true believers in Christ,

must beat out our fear.

We must overcome our fear,

just as Christ overcame the world.

We must over-rule our fear.

In the name of the Lord,

we must stand up,

and we must stand out.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I almost did not write this poem, but boldness is something that Christ wants us to have. It is something everyone needs to have - including myself at times. Boldness is something few people possess. Persistence is key

A true write Forever. Similarly, some re-write 'Onward Christian soldiers' with the line: 'Like a mighty tortoise, plods on the church of God'. Some (but not all) too busy waffling on about rites and rituals. Some standing outside the church (literally even) may say: 'What they up to in there?'
