Flight Of Life

Bailey

I felt the wind between my feathers

Was familiar with flight

I knew that if I were to fall

There would be no light

The light that flickered inside

Is something you can never take away

Sometimes I feel it, burning

It screams and roars

And in those moments I have no fear

No fear of treacherous heights

No fear of falling

It’s just me and my wings

And they are as strong as I make them be
