The Light Within

The Light Within

As the car stops
He sees the vast sea
He sees the forever stretching beach
He sees tides moving in and out

He sees seagulls flying
So high in the sky
There's a big ball of gas
As well as the blue sky

But everybody was gone
Not a trace in the sand
Its like everyone had been blown away
And the winds carried them high into the clouds

He decided to get out
To go and see what happened
Just as soon as he got out
He could hear whispering

At that moment
He didn't know what to think
He pressed onwards
One mistake he shouldn't have made

He wanted to go back
But he couldn't
It was almost like he had to
It was as if he was being controlled like a puppet

He fell into darkness
He then saw a light
A light of hope, peace, and love
He swam towards the light as if his life depended on it

The light began to move away
He started swimming faster
The light moved away faster
It was a game of cat and mouse

In that light he began to see
What appears to be
A silhouette of a shredded soul
Only that soul is me
