Horse Shoe Nail

Jabberwocky

The horse shoe nail
That us did fail
Was one soft spoken "sorry"
You were too proud
to say aloud
In penance for your folly.

From that lost shoe
The losses grew
Resentments snowballed bigger
Who was to know
The end would grow
From such a petty trigger.

Pride is a pitfall for so many. To lose something so important, so vital because you couldn't admit you were wrong; tragic.
