Allow Me

Baylee

My love,

living is useless

being alive is not

but only for a little while

Until the novelty wears off

and you go back to living

go back to useless

Our worth is defined by

society

as is

everything else

So, if you please,

untie these knots

which bind me to you,

which bind me to this

hauntingly lurid earth

And allow me to fulfill my dreams

of flight, of freedom

allow me

to soar.
