deep below a surface
I'm quite sure I've never seen
not sinking
but stagnant
pushed along with currents
I cannot breathe
and I never will again
though I am not yet dead
and seemingly never will be
I do not struggle
of what use could it be
instead I pull myself closer
for the smaller I am
the less inconvenience I can be
