I Hate Starting Over

Karakter

I hate starting over...
That feeling of being attracted
To someone
Initiating conversation...
Asking questions like
Whats your favorite food
Color
And what state you stayed in..
Exchanging numbers then going out on a date
Or jus chilling with somebody
Trying to see how you would relate.
So much work
So much effort goes into it.
Ive come close with people all to end up in shambles
I guess my personality is just to much to handle but why is that?
I don’t want to start over....
Everybody i let close lets me down
People i considered friends
Or “best friends” have bonds that were unbound but...
it is what it is
Im to good to people and always end up alone
Stuck..
Curious...
lost..
and still the same “Sweet, loving guy”
I hate feelings and i loathe emotion..
I don’t want to go through that again

Soul destroying isn't it. Much older but i share your dilemma. Even shut myself away from the world for ten years to stop being attracted - but i was kidding myself and wasting time. The attraction is there and disappointments will continue until the right person comes along.
But here's a kernel of wisdom. All those partners who didn't make the grade are educating you in a way which will help you to stop choosing partners who are 'no hopers'. The right one is out there. The harder you try, the luckier you get.
