Venus Rising

Gino

Venus surfaces

from a depth of subconsciousness

into an encompassing

wilderness of bewilderment,

as she takes hold

of the rising morning dew

that moist and cooled

our lovely euphoria

into a sun-bade farewell

The evening sun

slowly creeps up

out of the vicinity of my dream

onto an empty exhalation

of spontaneous wake,

rekindling her reverence

inside an unabated silence

that reverberates unceasingly

Stirring in a whirlwind

of contempt, annihilating dispensations

on a disillusion that longs to reside

in that eternal waking hour,

rising just high above my windowpane

on a sunbeam of disenchantment…

A realm of dreams

regresses on a lucid odyssey

which boggles the mind

upon a myriad of hollow-filled stars

recessing to shine

onto a half-moonlit road

that leads across the inlets of sea

and vacuums out

into the ethereal reaches

of a celestial bliss...

Ceaselessly cradling

in on the afterglow of

an immortal youth

that reminisces her every line

knitting inside each and every curve

and binding on every return,

till that eventual fade

of consciousness occupies

and fates our timeless sleep

Conceiving her beautiful visage

in a lingering trance

on a thought and feel

I cannot fathom,

incarcerated in this debacle

that phantoms me incessantly

Caressing that departed kiss

on the back of a memory

that hauntingly remains

in the incense

of a forbidden madness,

desiring her unwillingness

to leave and abandon me

on a crux of rapture

Her seductive gaze

perplexes my distant haze

at the edge

of this confounding world,

on a winding cusp

that splatters her face

in a sunset red

upon an entire horizon

that bleeds, summoning

the four winds to corner

the faint murmuring

encircling inside this hole…

…Emancipating our fatal discord,

a melodious overture

seizes the stillness

of our journey of awakening

on a flight of revelation,

cultivating our moonlight serenade

from a span of time

that sojourned our past

and embraced our present enlightenment,

culminating us forever in mind…
