Alone

redneckwriter

Gone for now, I wait and stew. These summers alone, I miss you two. My little ones, so far away. I bide my time, and count each day. I lose myself, submersed in jobs. Trying to ignore, the heartbreaks throbs. Soon you’ll return, and all will be well. Just need distractions, to ignore the pains swell. In my mind, and in my heart. No matter the distance, we’re never apart. So have your fun, then come on home. And save your old man, from being alone.
