More Than Friends

ForeverJesus7

Oh how I love being friends.
We were friends,
for so long,
and you were the best one,
I have ever had.
You are always loyal.
You are caring.
You know me.
Yet you always tell me,
what I need to hear.
We will always be friends.
Still, lately as I look at you,
I want to be more than friends.
I hope you feel,
that same way too,
but I am afraid to ask,
because I don't want,
our friendship to end.
If you feel the same way,
please do me a favour,
and first let me know.
So I may tell you how I feel,
and we can figure out,
which direction to go.
If you don't like me,
as more than a friend,
then that is alright too.
At least we will,
know for sure,
and know that we,
will still always care for eachother,
as good friends do.

I think this is very sweet and relatable to all people as they age and grow closer to others! However, I would focus more on literary devices; essentially, creating more art with words and making the poem deeper.
