The Hidden Storm

writer1087

The clouds engulf the sun,

as is it were a storm.

The thunder silent and invisible,

yet it swallows the only light left.

Perception of life is a fog,

no room for thoughts of summer,

For not even a crack of the light remaining

could show the hidden storm.

She roams around freely, never missing a step

For if she missed a step, silent thunder no more

For her mind is a festering tornado,

that will always twist and never rest.

The storm will never pass,

Always pushing her to the edge

but jumping will only block the beams

of the little light she has left.

Silent suffering are the rest of her days,

as she waits for the storm to pass

for she hopes that a crack of light

will destroy the hidden storm.
