What Might Have Been

Jane Frye

Could have changed the cosmos, but then again,
it's only what might have been.

A mission without destiny's permission, never to reach fruition.

Could have changed the cosmos, but then again,
it's only what might have been.

A single dandelion seed carried off by the wind,
drops in a place where it can never begin.

Could have changed the cosmos, but then again,
it's only what might have been.

Falling a moment too late,
changes the course of fate.
The child who set it in motion,
with a wish and a notion.

Could have changed the cosmos, but then again,
it's only what might have been.

The what if and could have been game is one I am painfully good at. I love this. Thank you for sharing.
