A letter, To the Girl Who loved her Before me

HangingbyaHalo

To the girl who loved her before me,

I wonder looking in her eyes how you walked away.

But I thank you.

I thank you for making room for me.

I thank you for the times you kissed her lips before they were mine because in that moment it was exactly what she needed from you.

I wonder what you thought of when you held her hand?

Did you ever want to shout her name from the roof tops?

Often I wonder how you did it and how I could do it better, it’s a silent invisible competition between me some I have never even met.No worries I will win. I wonder if you were ever the cause of tears on her cheeks, with that thought I want to hate you but I don’t. I thank you for the times you fell short they will only intensify this feeling when she experiences someone who will fight the world with her and for HER.

I wonder if you ever spend nights sleepless because the bed just wasn’t the same without her?

Did you ever ache for her?

Did you notice the beauty in her eyes?

Or how they shine so bright right before the corners of her lips curl to smile.

I wonder, Do you miss them?

I hope you know, I will take all the times you called her beautiful and multiply them by a million to insure that she never goes a second without knowing she is a masterpiece.

I vow to remove all of the black you tried to destroy her with.

I wonder if you know the scares you left… or remember how she got the ones before you.

But most of all,

I wonder if you left anything packed away in her heart.

If you did you may want to know, I am working on changing the locks and pretty soon your keys won’t work anymore. So, I wonder looking in her eyes how you walked away. I guess I  don’t really want the answer. I just wanted to say...

Thank you,
