Ode to Catfishing

Notice of absence from AllTheRandomThings

                                                                  fished again...

From seductive photographs to counterfeit vocal cords that portrayed the reflection of materialistic beauty

that my eyes cherished, while my mind replayed marveled memories created from the wonder lust of imagination.

How does one have chemistry with an unknown identity and find peace in the silhouette of what could be destiny?

The boiling anxiety of face timing the doppelganger that mirrored that same smile you fantasized over the past five months.

As if someone allured the very person you lowered your force field for

...and to make matters worse...wipe their intellectual memories of your existence.

Was it worth the experience?... Do I keep pursuing this impostor and accept their flaws which might be deeper then mine?
