Regret.

Ng Um

Did I commit a mistake? Mistake by letting everything go .

Knew what I wanted to say but acted like I don't know.

It was really hard, hard to stay quiet.

But I had to coz I knew I wasn't right.

All those promises I made seemed like lies.

Now 100s of tears rolling down my eyes.

Mind stopped for a while and the heart was running its race for a mile.

Little you know, it's tough, tough to put up a fake smile.

Everytime I look at the mirror, I see regrets in my eye.

And then I question myself, I kept me in this position but why?

I know regrets spell so well, with this writing I'm positive you'll find the reason. Our lessons are our own, thank you for sharing some of yours.

I can't really say anything clever. But with all honesty your regrets are your own. And i guess you might've been punishing yourself. But that's my opinion. Great poem.

      • Ng Um

Yes. As you said I was punishing myself but not anymore. And thank you. 😊

Well ,I'm glad you found a way to stop punishing yourself.

Hope this is a watershed, a turning point for you. It's never too late to put your hand up and say i made mistakes, i was wrong. We are all human, hopefully those you tell will know what it is to be human and have regrets too.
          Very good writing.
