How A Turtle Goes
Such a hard exterior
Though so soft inside
With a little nose
For flowers that he tries
He not one to travel
And always going slow
Often briefly captured
Then allowed to go
In his little box
He hides there away
Sometimes peeping out
To see when all is safe
He stretches his long neck
To have a bite of food
Some leafy bit of green
With fruit sometimes too
His sturdy little tail
Where he sometimes leaks
With the fear of getting wet
Enough to keep him free
