A Lover's Blade

Spica

Your tongue is made of razors. You can't see that your words cut like knives and sometimes they cut so deep that people can’t feel the pain. The knife you shoved between my shoulder blades didn’t cause blood to seep through my clothes right away, and I think my nerve endings may have been frayed. Nah, I think it wasn’t until you got caught up in your own fictional world, your own blatant disregard for anyone’s feelings besides your own that I opened my eyes and truly felt who you are. All pain aside, I hope you never understand one day how it feels to turn around and find your new lover wielding a blade.
