You’re just like the rest

Sierra

You’re just like the rest
As I write this
I’m sulking over you
wanting to call it quits
but also wanting to push through.

I’m tired of being the one
everyone ends up leaving,
but this feeling is overdone
and no longer disbelieving.

You never seemed to be like the rest,
always being there for me,
but you let your feelings manifest,
so fast I could barely see.

Please know I’m hurting too,
for being the reason this all happened
because losing a friend like you
makes my colorful world feel blackened.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This might be a little dramatic, but that’s what poetry is right? I’m not good with people coming in and out of my life, especially when they mean so much to me. Anyways, enjoy the read.
