What Happens?

ForeverJesus7

You start out solid as a rock.
The water beneath your feet,
hardens so you may walk on.
You are as bold as a Lion.
Nothing can move you.
You have supernatural strength.
Your house is built,
on the earth's solid foundation.
It is all and only because,
you trust in the Lord.
You trust in the Lord,
with all your heart,
and you lean not unto,
your own understanding,
but what happens when,
you turn from Christ?
You begin to crumble.
What happens when,
you take your eyes off Jesus?
The water beneath your feet,
starts to soften.
You begin to sink like Peter.
All of the boldness,
that you once had,
turns into nothing but fear.
You can no longer find,
the supernatural strength God has given you.
So you eventually feel weak.
The foundation that,
you built your house on,
gradually begins to deteriorate,
and it crumbles before,
it is washed out to sea.
That is what happens,
when we stop trusting in the Lord.
We must keep our eyes,
fixed upon Jesus.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We must always keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus. Our circumstances can become dire when we don't. History has proven that time and time again. Men start out giving glory to God, but somewhere along the way they become arrogant, and fall hard and miserably. Persistence is key
